My kitchen is positively sparkling (down to the microwave vents!); the stupid freezer has been "fixed," disinfected, and de-molded (gross); the carpets are clean; dimmer switches have been installed; the second car is now running; the baby mirror has been installed in the car; the garage is swept; AND I've even had a nap.
What?! you marvel, did your son sleep all day??!
Well, no. He did not.
My in-laws are in town, and the idea was that they'd watch the baby while husband and I did a bunch of work around the house. Unfortunately, baby is not yet crazy about anyone besides mommy and daddy watching him for extended periods of time... so my in-laws did quite a bit of the actual cleaning.
Once in a while, I do get coddled. *smile*
